According to the new book from John Alite and George Anastasia called Gotti’s Rules: The Story of John Alite, Junior Gotti, and the Demise of the American Mafia
According to Anastasia in the book Gotti’s Rules Junior never signed a cooperation deal but it didn’t stop him from giving the feds plenty of information. Asastasia writes that he supplied information on corrupt politicians and cops, murders, and the Gambino families influence at the time in the Queens District Attorney’s Office. Gotti attorney Charles Carnesi that the information provided in the book was old news happening over 10 years ago and nothing ever came of it and his client never testified against anyone even though he went through four trials of his own after that proffer session.
Now Junior Gotti denies virtually every claim made by Alite in the book Gotti’s Rules and has put out his own version of the story in his own ebook Shadow of My Father. But Anastasia writes that even though Junior is busy denying so many things Alite on the other hand has tried to deny very little and his version of these events marked his life not to mention the feds adopted the Alite version when putting him on the witness stand. Although it has to be noted that Alite was not a very impressive witness and did little damage against Junior at trial.
to be honest geogres book on john alite was ok but was a bit of a let down to be honest with you his knowledge on the new York mafia was not very strong he could of said what was going on within the Gambini family through the 80s, 90s and 2000s he seemed to spend too much time attacking John and junior gotti like yearh dont get me wrong john was not the best of bosses but i did feel that he attacked john gotti a bit too much and it seemed to me that john alite made up alot of his conversations he susposedly had with john gotti i dont think someone like john gotti would be friends with john aite end of. It just seemed like to me alot of it was made up and by alite if you notice most of these conversations espically with john gotti sr there is no one to back his story up just seems a bit made up now i strongly believe that junior dealt drugs and was responsible for alot of the murders alite said he was i do buy into that i dont really think junior story that he was not involed in the murders are true infact junior book is a bit of joke and hunior is the type of guy to be friends with alite and i do think junior did try to become an informer at one time
at the end of the day the book i could only enjoy to a certain degree as it was john alite who was telling the story

Doesn’t it seem strange that Jr. Gotti was never convicted using Alite’s testimony? I know, some ppl aren’t good witnesses, but after 4 trials the Feds never made him believable. Could it be he lied and the Feds wantedJr so bad they figured one jury wwould be dimb enough to believe him? Yes and Yes.
very true alite is a lier most of these conversations wih Joh Gotti never happenned yes i can believe he was a member of juniors crew and maybe he was involed in some of these murders but alot of what he says i find unbelivable infact there is some who say he made very little money and was just some low level drug dealer not what he claims he said he made 50millioen for the Gambinio family i say that is rubbish and dont beieve what you read in his book he was chased out of queens by the Gambinioes. I do believe junior dealt drugs but i dont think he is in the mob anymore which the book trys to show i do believe that
i cant believe someone like george would write a book about what he is saying very unimpressed by the book george books on last Gangster and Blood honour i thought were great stick to philly underworld george
I think Alite comes off as a liar and a scumbag no doubt about it and that really showed on the stand and his testimony wasn’t taken as being very credible at all. The Book is pretty good read but i have to say some of the things said have to be taken with a grain of salt because they are coming from him, at least in my opinion. That being said the quoted 302 report and some of the stories sound pretty legit.
