Veteran journalist and news presenter Trevor McDonald is back with another TV series about the American Mafia this time to focus on the mafia wives, daughters, and girlfriends called Mafia Women with Trevor McDonald.
Trevor produced a highly rated series about the mafia in the U.S. called “The Mafia with Trevor McDonald” that aired in the UK back in 2015 and was also available online. He is now following up on that series with this new effort which features interviews with the women who live by the rules of Cosa Nostra. The six-week journey once again takes Trevor into the depths of organized crime uncovering a new perspective on life amongst the treachery, money, and violence of the mob.
The two-part mafia TV series will include interviews with Linda Scarpa the daughter of mafia hitman Greg Scarpa Sr., Toni Marie Ricci the former wife of Gambino capo turned informant Michael “Mikey Scars” DiLeonardo, and former Colombo family capo also turned informant Anthony Russo and his new girlfriend who was unaware of the mafia and his old life when they met. McDonald meets with Linda to talk about her notorious father and her life inside a mafia family including the time she and her young son were caught in the middle of a shootout during one of the bloody Colombo mafia wars. His emotional meeting with Toni Marie touches on the breaking of the oath of Omerta and the pain she still feels from that betrayal.
The meeting with Russo and his new girlfriend allowed Trevor to get an in-depth look at the mobster’s life inside the Colombo family while serving as a captain for unrelated reputed acting mob boss Andrew (Mush) Russo. Anthony was a trusted capo until he turned informant after being charged with racketeering and the 1993 murder of Colombo underboss Joseph Scopo. Russo supplied the feds with information on more than 20 members of his former mafia family and was rewarded for his cooperation with a 35 months time served sentence instead of the life sentence he would have faced.
Episode one of the two-part series is set to air on Feb 16, 2017, on ITV. Hopefully, it will follow the same path as McDonald’s previous mafia show and be available for American and other viewers online quickly after its premiere.
The other series he did The mafia with Trevor was pretty well done and I enjoyed that one although would of been nice had it made its way to American TV but watching online wasn’t a big problem. Hopefully this one is available online as well so we can check it out here in the states , seems interesting.
Last one good, although I didn’t believe half the shit Alite said. Like the shootout at his house, please. Complete rubbish, you could tell he was inflating his story to make money selling it.
Honestly, you can learn about Linda scarpa’s story everywhere. She has done several mob shows. Nothing new there.

Ah old Alite that seems to be the case more often then not no matter the outlet so I kind of look past that part. The show itself was very well done and your right I would of probably preferred another “mobster” geared version of the show then a women version but I will check it out and who knows maybe it will be more interesting than it kind of sounds.

and he was a even bigger problem for merlino he is the reason joey did 13 years he wore a wire on joey merlino got the stolen bikes and baby powder scams on tv also got joey on the coke deal tapes with bobby lusi but he was found not guilty at court. Previte never wore a wire on stanfa and the damage he did there was not as big as some think he became a informant for protection during the war and would tell the feds when stanfa was trying to kill a merlino crew member
after the stanfa bust joey actually wanted to have him killed but ralph natale saved his life joey should have never gone near him natale aswell should have seen the signs when he was the only stanfa guy not to get busted but he was a big earner greed got in the way

Oh yea that series was fantastic and definitely didn’t last nearly long enough. They could make 2-3 more seasons of that one!

Anthony russo will be interesting funny to be honest in the 2008 tapes he said a lot of rubbish on the Tommy McLaughlin wore a wire russo would claim how rats were a disgrace and he would never do that talking about how he wanted to get his crew “doing work” before getting made. He got busted only looking at 5 years and flips he was a young guy when he got busted and he was a awful rat tommy g beat 6 murders come on
and don’t forget when Walter Samperi got stabbed 2010 by the gambinos Anthony his capo settled for medical payments which the gambinos in the end never paid in full walter had to go to Italy to get treartment there. Andy Russo said it best on tape they should have killed the Gambino associate made the colombos were made to look weak Anthony talked the tough guy but never did anything to prove it andy was old school he knew what should have been done
