A Gotti is set to testify for the feds in Gambino murder case

Another member of the Gotti family is set to take the stand during a mob trial but for the first time ever it will be for the government.

Federal prosecutors will call Linda Gotti the niece of late Gambino crime family boss John Gotti to the stand to testify against alleged Gambino capo Bartolomeo Vernace. He is charged with murder in aid of racketeering for the 1981 slaying of two men in a Queens bar. One of the men Vernace killed was Linda Gotti’s boyfriend John D’Agnese.

“Bartolomeo Vernace”

D’Agnese and Richard Godkins were part owners of the Shamrock Bar and were killed in a senseless attack by Vernace that started over a spilled drink. The murders happened in front of Linda Gotti and she initially identified Vernace and two others involved Frank Riccardi and Ronald “Ronnie the Jew” Barlin before recanting her statement. Linda Gotti’s father Peter Gotti and uncle John Gotti talked her out of testifying according to her during a state murder case in which Vernace and Riccardi were acquitted. But now that her father Peter is done and uncle John is deceased she is ready to tell the truth according to sources.

Another source said that Linda never for over the fact that Vernace killed her boyfriend over something so stupid.
