Well it seemed like only a matter of time before the feds had to fold and offer these guys the plea deals. Now do the defense attorney’s smell blood in the water and think they can push for even sweeter deals or for some of them maybe threaten to take it to trial and really force the feds hand. With 10 guys already rejecting the offer it looks like negotiations for even better deals seems quite likely and most of them may end up with nothing more than a slap on the wrist compared to what they were looking at when originally arrested.

They should all push for trial. It’s obviously risky both monetarily and punitively. Trials are not cheap for the government either though. With number of guys charged and some evidence already having to be tossed I think they could get it dismissed if they stick together and press. Especially since RICO already dropped. Normal crimes hold a much higher standard of proving beyond a reasonable doubt.

Even though Plea Deals usually benefit the Defendants,in this case imho these guys should reject them,unless/til NO JAIL is part of Plea. Since it seems there’s more to FBI Agents malfeasance and DOJ doesn’t want that known.
