Anthony “The Genius” Megale the one time underboss of the Gambino crime family passed away from an apparent heart attack. Megale was released from prison back in December after being sentenced to 11 years in prison back in 2006. He was indicted for 38 counts of extortion linked to a tri-state racketeering enterprise that was centered in New York state.

Megale was made after his involvement in the murder of previous capo Thomas debrizzi , I heard carmine sciandra was pretty much running that crew while megale was in prison , also dean depreta who isn’t made and has 2 years left to serve could have a say wen released
Haven’t heard a whole lot on Sciandra since he got out the can in 2012 i think , seems like he has had his head down running his crew and quietly earning.

the Gambino crew up in Connecticut has not made any new members for a very long time. So the crew is very small. It´s possible it has merged with another NY crew under another captain. Prob carmine sciandra if that is the case. Both Megale and Sciandra came up under Tommy Gambino and Sciandra got his crew when Tommy retired. Carminati´s crew split between Megale and Squitieri after Carminati´s death in 1998.
