John Gotti Jr. saw his fellow mob pal John Alite take the stand against him back in 2009 in an unsuccessful attempt to put him behind bars for murder conspiracy and racketeering. It was a last gasp shot by feds to finally put Junior Gotti away but the testimony of Alite wasn’t enough and like the three previous trials ended in a hung jury. Now in a final attempt to hurt his former mob pal Alite along with George Anastasia are set to release Gotti’s Rules: The Story of John Alite, Junior Gotti, and the Demise of the American Mafia. The John Alite book has been called an assassination by words spilling the secrets of the Gotti family along with that of the Gambino crime family.
John Alite a former Gambino family associate worked his way into Junior’s circle back in the mid 1980’s because according to him that is where the money was. But he claims he soon found out that Gotti Jr was no tough guy and would turn and run when things got tough on the streets. Alite says him and Junior at one time were making a million dollars a month from their illegal operations but at same time the son of former boss John Gotti was a figure of fun to other real gangsters. He claims some mobsters called the younger Gotti “Urkel” for his choice of cloths and he often got a laugh out of it as well.
“John Alite”
He says that during the time he was an enforcer for Junior and the Gambino family he shot between thirty and forty guys and delivered baseball bat beating to many more. He admits to having a part in at least six homicides writes Anastasia and there were probably more. Alite claims his allegiance to Junior who he never seemed to have much respect for any way and the Gambino family changed because of a fatal attraction scenario and so called relationship with Victoria Gotti. There was an incident with her former husband Gambino family mobster Carmine Agnello where Junior sided with Agnello over Alite.
“Junior Gotti”
Alite claims after the Agnello situation he understood he was viewed as an outsider and not blood just someone being used by Junior and family to hurt people and make money. After the death of his father Junior was made boss of the Gambino family and Alite then says he plotted to have him killed. The plot according to Alite was to kill Junior, Agnello, and the uncle Pete and he was approached to handle the hit on Junior. But Gotti was smart enough to buy off the conspirators and Alite was left out in cold. He says out of the blue he was asked for transfer to the Lucchese family but refused.
It was then that he was approached by the feds with information that he was the target of a mafia hit. They would not go into detail as to who was behind it but he had a good idea who it was. He says he even accused Junior at the Aqueduct Racetrack but Junior denied it. Alite would go on to spend 14 years behind bars from 1996 onward eventually going on the lam to try and avoid federal indictments. He would be caught and eventually turned rat. He would go on to testify against former Gambino family enforcer Charles Carneglia and help to put him away for four murders.
He eventually had his day in court facing down his former mob pal Gotti Jr but came out on the losing end. He was released from prison back in 2012 and now claims he is a good citizen having gone totally legit. Now he is firing back at the Gotti family and the mob the only way he can by spilling secrets in his new book for all of us to read so be sure to get your copy of Gotti’s Rules: The Story of John Alite, Junior Gotti, and the Demise of the American Mafia.

I’m gonna defo get a copy , got pretty much every book by George Anastasia , however can u really trust anything alite says to be true ??? I’m not convinced but I won’t judge until I’ve read the book . I’m much more looking forward to reading the new Vito rizzuto book business or blood
Dom i like just about all of Anastasia’s work as well and i am looking forward to reading this one too. As to Alite well honestly i wouldn’t trust him as far as i could toss him and it should be real interesting to see differences between his boo and junior gotti’s also set to be released soon.
Yeah I agree sharp , is the jnr gotti book being released in hardcover / paperback form or is it a kindle or e book
I am not sure as to how it will be released but i will def be checking into it. Set to come out this week.
agree aparrt from jerry capeci geogre is defently the best at writing about the mob. But alite is a notorious at lying claiming he slept with victoira gotti but when she went and did a lie detector test it came out saying she had sexual relations with alite. I am only going to get this because geogre wrote it alite just hated junior gotti and has too much of a reason to lie he also exaggerates facts alot.
You know. I stumbled upon this website because I was curious about the current state of the mafia. But in reality, these guys are only as powerful as they are allowed these days in the U.S. The NSA, FBI and even CIA have a strangle hole on these families. The days of controlling relentlessly and without problems are over. My best friends sister is an FBI agent and has told me that they are almost allowed to get away with shit, simply because the government agencies now use them as their ears on the streets. Now every once in a while the hammer comes down, but the U.S. government knows exactly what is going on. The fascination of the mafia is no longer. Now it is simply white collar crime and union corruption. It’s plain to see that the IRS can come down if they really wanted too. But, it is allowed to a certain extent. Lucky would be rolling in his grave if he knew what his commission has become. When the DEA wants to cripple structure, the CIA and the Italian intelligence agency go into action in Italy. The only true family would probably be the Genevese. Well, that held the omertà code for the longest. There is just no way to escape the wrath of the NSA and FBI taps. And if shit was to ever get out of hand, the mafia would be wiped out. But they are pawns. The pinnacle was Vegas and Atlantic city. They have some power but in hind site they are not worth knowing aboutb nothing is secret anymore.
why have you posted this in the last few posts.
As i said before the la costra nostra is stronger than it was 10 years ago but the omerta died in the 70s. You obivoursly dont know alot about the mob if you think all they do is white collar crime and union corruption as the mob is in to gambling, exotration, drugs,p**n,prostetion, robberys, hjakings and loansharking infact the mobs biggest earner is still gambling andloansharking and i dont consider them to be white collar crimes.
lucky was around in a differant time when the fbi did not come after them. The la costra nostra back theni am sure if they had the pressure put on to them which the mob had on in th 80s some would of flipped.
Also the omerta they beliveved in because when they lived in italy it was very strong so they brought it over here with them the second generation mobsters cared little about the omerta. The witness protetcion is also a big reason many started to flip.
