Gotti’s Rules: The Story of John Alite, Junior Gotti, and the Demise of the American Mafia

John Gotti Jr. saw his fellow mob pal John Alite take the stand against him back in 2009 in an unsuccessful attempt to put him behind bars for murder conspiracy and racketeering. Now in a final attempt to hurt his former mob pal Alite along with George Anastasia are set to release Gotti’s Rules: The Story of John Alite, Junior Gotti, and the Demise of the American Mafia. The John Alite book has been called an assassination by words spilling the secrets of the Gotti family along with that of the Gambino crime family.

Gotti Rules

John Alite a former Gambino family associate worked his way into Junior’s circle back in the mid 1980’s because according to him that is where the money was. But he claims he soon found out that Gotti Jr was no tough guy and would turn and run when things got tough on the streets. Alite says him and Junior at one time were making a million dollars a month from their illegal operations but at same time the son of former boss John Gotti was a figure of fun to other real gangsters. He claims some mobsters called the younger Gotti “Urkel” for his choice of cloths and he often got a laugh out of it as well.

He says that during the time he was an enforcer for Junior and the Gambino family he shot between thirty and forty guys and delivered baseball bat beating to many more. He admits to having a part in at least six homicides writes Anastasia and there were probably more. Alite claims his allegiance to Junior who he never seemed to have much respect for any way and the Gambino family changed because of a fatal attraction scenario and so called relationship with Victoria Gotti. There was an incident with her former husband Gambino family mobster Carmine Agnello where Junior sided with Agnello over Alite.

Alite claims after the Agnello situation he understood he was viewed as an outsider and not blood just someone being used by Junior and family to hurt people and make money. After the death of his father Junior was made boss of the Gambino family and Alite then says he plotted to have him killed. The plot according to Alite was to kill Junior, Agnello, and the uncle Pete and he was approached to handle the hit on Junior. But Gotti was smart enough to buy off the conspirators and Alite was left out in cold. He says out of the blue he was asked for transfer to the Lucchese family but refused.

It was then that he was approached by the feds with information that he was the target of a mafia hit. They would not go into detail as to who was behind it but he had a good idea who it was. He says he even accused Junior at the Aqueduct Racetrack but Junior denied it. Alite would go on to spend 14 years behind bars from 1996 onward eventually going on the lam to try and avoid federal indictments. He would be caught and eventually turned rat. He would go on to testify against former Gambino family enforcer Charles Carneglia and help to put him away for four murders.

He eventually had his day in court facing down his former mob pal Gotti Jr but came out on the losing end. He was released from prison back in 2012 and now claims he is a good citizen having gone totally legit. Now he is firing back at the Gotti family and the mob the only way he can by spilling secrets in his new book for all of us to read so be sure to get your copy of Gotti’s Rules: The Story of John Alite, Junior Gotti, and the Demise of the American Mafia.
