Louis DiNunzio a reputed member of the New England mafia known as the Patriarca crime family plead guilty to drug distribution conspiracy charges.

He is the son of New England mob leader Anthony DiNunzio and the nephew of the alleged Patriarca family acting boss Carmen “The Cheeseman” DiNunzio. Prosecutors claimed DiNunzio and a co-defendant sold a powerful form of weed known as “Skywalker” in Massachusetts. According to court records, prosecutors labeled Louis as a member of the Cosa Nostra family in New England. Prosecutors are now seeking a 21-month prison sentence for the 29-year-old reputed mobster.

DiNunzio and a small crew conspired to import large amounts of potent weed from California to New England from July 2013 to February 2014 according to prosecutors. Among the shipments they arranged was a 23 pound load of the sought after “Skywalker” which generated an estimated profit of $20,000. This isn’t Louis’s first run-in with the law as he was previously convicted of running an illegal casino-style gambling table in a Boston social club called the Sons of Italy. He remains free on bail until his sentencing which is scheduled for Tuesday. The DiNunzio’s are definitely a part of the mafia in New England and its current attempts to rebuild its ranks.
