Mafia social clubs have been a part of the fabric of the American Mafia since the beginning.
Owned by mafia members and associates these clubs were locations mobsters used to gather to have a drink, do some friendly gambling, and even plan a crime. Many of these places have become part of mob history including infamous locations like The Triangle Social Club former headquarters of Genovese crime family boss Vincent Gigante and The Ravenite the former headquarters of Gambino crime family boss John Gotti.
Mob social clubs were a prominent feature of the New York Mafia especially but as the mob has declined so have these historic locations. Many mob social clubs have been shut down a lot of which have now been remodeled into new shops and stores in an attempt to hide their infamous past. A map has been developed by mob researcher Charlie Yates using Google Maps which takes us on a tour of these almost forgotten landmarks. The Ultimate New York Mob Social Clubs and Hangouts Map is a great utility not only showing viewers a location but information as to what mafia family it was controlled or owned by.
The mafia social club map uses Googles street view technology to put viewers in front of these historic locations many of us have only read about. Mr. Yates used many resources to put together the map including mafia books, FBI files, and media archives. There are also plans to release a very cool Ultimate Mob Hangouts mobile phone app which will feature even more information then the Google including hangouts from around the United States.
The new Ultimate New York Mob Social Clubs and Hangouts Map and soon to be released mobile app was made to allow viewers to get a glimpse into hangouts of Cosa Nostra says, Mr. Yates. Well, it does exactly that !!

Can tell lots of time and work went into the making of that map and its very nice indeed. Great job to everyone who was in on it and i can’t wait to be able to check it out and read around more in detail. Many people have heard names of these places either in movies or books but being able to see a street level view even today is nice. Can really see how some locations have changed so much from the heyday of the mafia in New York. Well done Mr Yates , well done !
Well done Mr yates you missed some social clubs frank calis and gurraci are missing and that’s not just New york and jerseys Frankie the bombs in Detroit quite a lot are missing but I still applaud you because that’s a very hard task I would be unable to do what you did
Also you need to take some of those out they are restaurant mob hangouts but also many of the public visted/vist a social club is mob only you won’t see your everyday Joe go into a social club there is a differance a big one.
Guys don’t use social clubs much anymore these do business in restaurants and other places socials clubs are easy for law enforcement to find wiseguys and document it. But there is still many clubs active like frank guarraci that place I know I have said before a real classy joint like tony at the bada bing 😀

(It’s members its in italien but you see the members and it is the club it got done up like this really classy don’t you think better than those old dirty hangouts the ribeira used to be a dump back in the day)
I think he meant to mix in some restaurants often frequented by mobsters etc along with the social clubs which is why he included the “hangouts” portion. I think the app mentioned will have a lot more of the social club adds on including ones you mentioned above and those in other cities like Detroit and Jersey etc besides only New York as the map has.
I have to admit myself i would of never been able to put this together.
