Philly mobster Gaeton Lucibello released from prison

Philadelphia mafia soldier Gaeton Lucibello has been released from prison after serving 30 days for a parole violation according to a report from veteran reporter Dave Schratwieser.

The one time Cosa Nostra captain was sent to prison back in 2012 on a racketeering conviction and released in 2015. He was put on supervised release with restrictions which were set to end in February of this year. But according to reports, he was caught by local Philly police meeting with fellow wiseguy Salvatore “Sonny” Mazzone the brother of Philly mafia leader Steven Mazzone. The brief meeting that reportedly took place in South Philly at a bocce ball game was a direct violation of his parole conditions. It ended up costing Lucibello 30 more days of freedom.

“Gaeton Lucibello”

Lucibello had been laying low for the past couple of years seemingly due to his strict parole conditions. It is unclear as to what role Lucibello will have within the organized crime family once he is free and clear but most expect him to return to the fold in some fashion. The mafia in Philadelphia continues to be in the headlines of late with alleged boss Joey Merlino on trial for racketeering. He like Lucibello could see his current situation improving as the Jury in his case has so far been unable to come to a verdict. When it comes to mafia news Philadelphia always seems to be in the mix.
