The local pizzeria named Cucino a Modo Mio in Corona was raided by more than 30 officers blowing the lid off of the mob-tied drug business. Cocaine shipments were orchestrated using containers of Yucca shipped out of Costa Rica by drug contacts to a port in Delaware where it was picked up and trucked to the families Bronx-based produce warehouse according to reports.

Wiretaps placed at the pizzeria captured the pizzeria patriarch talking about sending his wife to deliver a drug payment of $400,000 to his drug contacts last year in Costa Rica. Authorities claim over the last six months the family has received approx 55 kilos of cocaine worth about two million dollars. All three members of the family are now facing life in prison if convicted.
