Mob Talk is back with the latest Philly Mafia news

Experts George Anastasia and Dave Schratwieser are back with the latest Philly Mafia news and information in another episode of Mob Talk sitdown.

Alleged boss Joey Merlino could be out of prison in less than another year if credited with four months he served for a previous parole violation. The guys also once again get into the lingering rumors that the new task force is working on new indictments which may include some unsolved mafia hits. It’s still unclear as to which murders could be included but according to the guys they would likely tie in some or most of the Cosa Nostra families current leadership.

If the feds are looking to build this new RICO case around unsolved murders the hits on both John “Johnny Gongs” Casasanto and Raymond “Long John” Martorano could def be in play. Both of these go back quite a few years and could involve various high ranking members especially if the feds could lock down a cooperating witness. Another interesting case has been the recent drug case which includes Joseph Servidio, Carl Chianese, and Michael Gallicchio. Seems like there could be something going on as now a year into it there has yet to be any movement.

Besides the recent troubles for Merlino things have been fairly quiet when it comes to the Philly Mafia. There are def questions as to just how active many of the high ranking guys are these days and how active the family is as a whole. It should be an interesting year for the Mafia in Philadelphia and we may get some answers as to just how much is left for organized crime in the City of Brotherly Love.
